Thanks to Jennifer Walker, Principal at Leviton Dual Language School in Providence, Rhode Island, 5th-grade students are learning how to build web pages using HTML and Cascade Style Sheets (CSS).

HTML Competiton

Phase 1: HTML 5

In the initial phase, students utilize the w3Schools.com website to master HTML 5, the fundamental element of all web pages. With their Chromebooks, they acquire the skills to craft the markup that culminates in a web page.

Phase 2: CSS

In Phase 2, the student learn how to make their website beautiful using Cascade Style Sheets or CSS.  The phase concludes with student learning Bootstrapthe powerful and feature-packed front-end toolkit used to build responsive and beautiful web pages.
